Frühlingsfest: Bavarian-American Friendship Day - 28 April 2024

Munich International Ski Club celebrating Bavarian-American Friendship Day at Frühlingsfest on 28th April 2024!

The Family Krätz and the entire Hippodrom team would like to invite us to a special event, the Bavarian-American Friendship Day.

It will take place on April 28th, 2024 from 5.30 pm in the Hippodrom tent at the Spring Festival on the Theresienwiese.

Our friend Dave Dowdy has been organizing this event for more than 10 years now. They annually invite Bavarian, American and international organizations to this fun event, and it has become a tradition for the Club to join.

This year the music is provided by the Högl Fun Band, a wonderful band which also plays every year in the Weinzelt tent at the Oktoberfest. Linda Jo Rizzo has been invited as a star guest to perform her fantastic show of rock, soul and blues songs. As a special treat, you can order the excellent hamburgers made from Kobe beef at a special price. For us, there is neither an admission fee nor a minimum purchase.  You only pay for what you consume in the tent.

You have to register here on the website using the registration form if you intend to join us - link to the registration form. Everyone is invited, so please tell your friends. To enter the tent you will need a wrist band, which will be handed out to you by Dave (either in person before the event, for example at the upcoming meet up) or you will be able to pick up your wrist bands on the day of the event on April 28th (either at a special small table in front of the main entrance or in the container to the right of the main entrance) for everyone who registers.

Important: Our reservation lasts only until 7 pm.  If you arrive later you may find your seat taken by other guests. Shortly before the event takes place you will be informed where you can find your tables. 

Last but not least.  If you have something in the Bavaria look in your closet, you are welcome to wear it.
