These are the Munich International Ski Club, e.V. general terms and conditions. Specific events or membership applications may contain additional terms and conditions found in the description which may override and add to these terms and conditions.
All payments received will be first applied to any open invoices or fees owed to MISC and then to the current registration. You will not be able to register for an event until all debt to MISC is paid in full.
Once you have registered for membership or an event, which you've committed to going, the deposit or full payment is due immediately. The registration is not confirmed until your payment is received.
Online payments only
Only online payments at the time of booking are accepted. You will not be able to register for these events without paying online. Your registration will be automatically cancelled if the online payment is not successfully processed within 15 minutes. At the organiser's discretion you may be able to register offline for some events.
Please send an email to treasury [at] munichskiclub.com if you questions or comments about payments.
Members with a season pass will need to register the same as all other members and contact the trip organizer to inform them they have a season pass valid for the ski resort(s). In all cases, they need to register and pay the full event price and adhere to these terms and conditions. A refund will be issued after the event for the amount the club does not spend on the ski ticket.
Contact the event organiser for cancellations or any changes to your registration.
A “Change Handling Fee” always applies regardless of the reason for a cancellation or change (for example, change of attendee).
The “Change Handling Fee” is as follows:
- €15 for events costing less than €200 (generally daytrips and special events)
- €30 for events costing more than €200 (generally longtrips)
Additionally the original attendee is responsible for covering all non-recovered costs, such as hotel and transport costs, transaction fees, etc., if a replacement attendee is not found. Refunds will only be issued once it is clear what these costs are (generally, after the event has concluded).
[TRAVEL INSURANCE RECOMMENDATION]
[EXAMPLE CANCELLATION]
Paying members of the club are eligible to have the “Change Handling Fee” waived once per season.
If you wish to cancel your event registration and are able to find someone to take your place, please contact the event organiser for coordination and approval.
Your registration will be cancelled if payments are not received immediately or by the due dates.
We need to have a “Change Handling Fee” unfortunately because of the manual work the trip organiser and treasurer need to do for each cancellation, and to cover the costs to the club.
All refunds will be made back to the originating payment method. If requested by MISC or the registrant and agreed by both, the refund can be made to a different payment method. Please inquire to treasury [at] munichskiclub.com for further details.
Taking part in a ski club event is done at your own risk, just like taking part in an event with friends; these are club trips, not commercial trips. The club and its representatives do not take responsibility for the actions of its members and does not have insurance to cover injury, or damage to or loss of your property. In particular, if you go skiing/boarding on a club trip it is highly recommended that you make sure you are insured for mountain rescue; note that this is not covered by normal medical insurance in Germany, and in the unlikely event that you need one, a helicopter ride can be very expensive.
