Fancy five days of skiing or snowboarding (four nights) in the Kitzbühel Alps, with several great ski resorts to choose from? Join us for a long ski trip based in Oberndorf in Tirol, just next to Kitzbühel!
Bonus: 6 January is a public holiday in Bavaria (Epiphany), which means an extra opportunity to hit the slopes without taking a day off work!
Where we're staying:
We'll spend four nights at the family-run Gartenhotel Rosenhof in Oberndorf in Tirol, a cosy hotel with a wellness area and a ski bus directly from the hotel. With Kitzbühel and other ski areas nearby, we'll have plenty of flexibility to explore different slopes, depending on snow conditions and everyone's preferences. And, of course, there'll be plenty of opportunities to get together for dinner and drinks!
What's included:
Four nights' accommodation (Wednesday to Sunday) in double rooms, breakfast each morning. The cosy rooms have private bathrooms, and some offer balconies with lovely valley views. After a day on the slopes, we can relax in the hotel's alpine-style sauna before heading out for dinner.
Dinner and ski passes are not included, giving us the flexibility to decide where to ski each day depending on snow conditions, weather and group preferences. There's also plenty to explore in the surrounding area, so anyone who fancies a rest day or a break from the slopes can enjoy other activities without having to pay for a ski pass. We'll also be free to choose where to eat in the evenings and arrange group dinners.

KitzSki: Kitzbühel / Kirchberg:
Our main skiing destination, offering a large network of pistes across the Kitzbühel Alps, including the famous Hahnenkamm. With approximately 230 km of pistes, there's plenty to explore for different skiing levels.
Other nearby options (within approximately 30 minutes' drive):
St. Johann in Tirol / Oberndorf:
Right on our doorstep, with access via the local Penzingbahn. A convenient option for a relaxed day on the slopes.
SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental (Going / Ellmau):
One of Austria's largest interconnected ski areas, with over 270 km of pistes, offering plenty of terrain for a change of scenery.
The plan is to keep things flexible. We can decide which resort to visit based on the weather, snow conditions and what the group feels like doing. Different groups can also choose different destinations.
Getting there:
We'll travel by private cars, allowing us to share transport costs and keep our plans flexible. We'll organise carpooling so that participants can coordinate their journeys.
Estimated transport contribution: €120 per car, shared equally among all occupants, including the driver. This covers the Munich–Oberndorf return journey, local transfers to ski resorts and a contribution towards vehicle operating costs.
Registration and booking:
Registration opens for Ski Club Members on Sunday, 18 October, at 8:00 AM. If any spots remain available, registration will open to Associates on Sunday, 25 October, at 8:00 AM.
Your place is confirmed only once payment has been received in full. If you'd like to share a room with someone specific (partner, friend or gender preference), please indicate this in the registration form and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel, we'll try to find a replacement. Any refundable costs will be returned minus a €30 handling fee (club members are entitled to one free cancellation/change handling fee waiver per season). Non-recoverable costs remain payable in accordance with the club's cancellation policy.
If the trip is cancelled entirely, you'll receive a full refund.
Staying connected:
We'll create a WhatsApp group before the trip to coordinate carpooling, skiing plans, dinners and other arrangements.
With four nights, several ski areas to explore and a cosy hotel to return to after a day on the slopes, this should be a fantastic opportunity to enjoy some great skiing, snowboarding and time together!
