We are staying at Apart Felsenhof ( https://www.apart-felsenhof.at ) in Huben near Sölden. Apart Felsenhof is a lovely family run apartment building which offers accommodation and an attached restaurant. After an active day of skiing you are invited to relax in Apart Felsenhof’s nice little sauna area or to have a drink at the bar.

    QUESTIONS AND FURTHER INFORMATION

In case the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues a travel warning, the trip will be cancelled and payments will be refunded. If by October 24, 2020 the minimum number of participants (22 participants) has not be reached,  MISC reserves the right to cancel the trip. In this case payments will be refunded.

Transportation to Sölden is not included in the package price. As a Club we are happy to put you into contact with other participants so that a carpooling can be arranged among the participants. MISC does not assume any liability for transportation or carpooling arrangements between the participants.

MISC takes Corona Virus very seriously.  On this trip there will be no visits to Apres Ski Bars organized by the Club as in the past years. After skiing the group will have the opportunity to meet at the spacious hotel bar for drinks, where distance can be kept.

In case of any questions please contact the organizer (Laura) via president@munichskiclub.com.

The Ski Club Goes to Arlberg

Let’s kick off the New Year with a bang! From 6 January through 10 January 2021 (4 days) the Munich International Ski Club will ski Arlberg. Arlberg includes St. Anton, Rendel, Lech, Schröcken und Warth, and all areas are all connected with a total of 88 lifts, 305 Kilometers of groomed runs plus 200 Kilometers of deep snow runs. The region is rated in the top 10 of all the ski areas of the world and the top 5 in Europe.

The area is perfectly suited for intermediate to expert skiers. Due to the abundance of black runs, beginners and advanced beginners will have a difficult time skiing there.

We will be staying at the Schwarzer Adler hotel in Pettneu near St. Anton (not to be confused with the Schwarzer Adler in St. Anton). The hotel is family-run in the 14 th generation of ownership, and we have always enjoyed staying there. We will have the entire hotel to ourselves. The ski bus stop is right across the street from the hotel, and the bus ride to the St. Anton area takes approx. only 10 minutes.

St. Anton and Pettneu offer a wide variety of after ski and evening entertainment. However, due to Corona I have no idea right now how much of after-ski entertainment we will be able to enjoy. We will have to see how the virus develops.

The price on the website includes 4-nights and half-pension, 4-day lift pass and hotel tax.

I will be happy to greet you on the trip. Let’s have some fun!

The MISC will go another time to Fodom*, the tiny little Heart of the Dolomites. Join us again for another unforgettable trip, with amazing opportunities to ski, reachable in front of the door. We go straight into the center. On the map you should look for Arabba at the south-eastern edge of the Sella Group.

Even under the actual extraordinary circumstances you should think early about your attendance. This time the organization of accomodation will work a bit different. You will get more information in your confirmation mail.

    Skiing opportunities:

You have the famous Sella Ronda, the Marmolada with its incomparable view easy to reach, challenging rides on the north side of Porta Vescovo and a large variety of easier pistes in the area of Cherz, Pralongia and Col Alt. Historical interests can be satisfied on the Giro della Grande Guerra (and by me, as long as you wish). And this is only an excerpt.

All of them can be reached from the first lift 50 m from the Albergo, no car needed in the morning (or the evening ;-) )

And if you ask attendees from last two years: The tour I call the ferry-tale-tour is really special. And I'm scouting even more to guide you through this miraculous world.

    Accomodation

We will stay in Albergo Pordoi with a long family tradition in the center of Arabba. Franco Furgler and his charming staff will welcome you.

Prices are 75€/night half-board or 525€ the whole week in double-rooms (26 spaces reserved), and 83€/night or 581€ the whole week in single rooms (3 spaces reserved).

The reservations will be held till beginning of december and then released.

Apres-Ski/Evening Party (only if the virus-situation will permit then)

Fodom is a calm place, and I love this. To be honest, there is only one small bar (Bar Peter) for Apres Ski. But this one is only 10 m opposite the Albergo Pordoi. And if you wish, also at night we will be able to rock this bar to hell and back. I’m sure Artur Filippin, the Landlord, will let us, as long as there is anyone able to stand upright. But seriously: conditionally of the virus-situation then, of course we have no right for exceptions to rules that are valid then.

MISC meets Coro Fodom (one more time) (also if the virus-situation will permit then)

For the last evening I plan a really special event: We will meet my friends from Coro Fodom (the local men´s choir) for a final dinner up the Burz (the hill behind the Hotel). They will sing for us, and you can believe me: You might find choirs singing better in technical aspects, you might find choirs that sing more challenging songs. But I have little hope you will find a choir transporting better something really special with the music, emotions, spirit, the way to live the music and fill the music with life. According to these aspects I have heard no better. Condiationally of the virus-situation, at the first evening I'll tell you more about the conditions of this evening, then we will decide together.

    Transportation

The trip is a U-drive event (by car), but I will help organizing car pools (requests and offers about spaces to bernd.moehres@t-online.de). The actual situation prohibits to think of any other option. It´s a 4h-ride from Munich. It´s not absolutely guaranteed that everybody can get a place in the car pools (I expect some solidarity from car owners), but train is also a good option. Railway to Bruneck and then Bus to Corvara is no problem, and for the last 10km there are solutions I will arrange.

    Some more about the location

Fodom is a little paradise, not only to me, many people fell in love with it (also the other times with the MISC). The first you will see is the amazing landscape, unbelievable beautiful. But you will find even more if you involve into people, culture and history. If you are able to open your heart, you will feel the certain spirit of this place. Everybody who wants to know more can get much information from me, as long as he wants.

And don´t hesitate to ask me for more questions, wishes or Extrawurscht. I´ll be happy to make this an unforgettable event for as many of you as possible, and to share this extraordinary place with you.

    PRELIMINARY INFORMATION AND PRICES ONLY

We're proud to one again offer our popular weekend trip to Hochfügen during the peak snow period, at the same price as last year. This is a fantastic resort for skiers and boarders of all levels, with modern gondolas taking you to the top of long red and blue runs, as well as some of the best in-resort off-piste skiing and boarding in Austria.

To keep costs to a minimum we're sharing the bus with the daytrip to get to the resort on Saturday. We'll join in the apres ski with the daytrippers, then bid those poor souls a sad farewell as we wander up to the Montana Alm for dinner and to spend the night. From the moment the first lift opens the following morning we can ski and board until stumps; the bus will come again and pick us up at the end of the day on Sunday.

Montana Alm is ski-in-ski-out and a short walk up the road from the bottom of the resort. You may have to carry your luggage up, so consider not packing too excessively. http://www.montana.at/

Price includes bus from and back to Munich, weekend lift pass, accommodation Saturday night with dinner and breakfast. Sleeping arrangement is in 8-person bunk room or double-room. Towels and bedding are provided, as is free WLAN.

Payment terms: It is anticipated that this trip will be booked out fairly early, so places are only considered reserved once payment has been received in full. If you book a double-room and your partner is also a member you will receive 20 Euro refund. If you've paid and can't go we will do our best to find someone to take your place, or if that is not possible you will be refunded 50%. Of course, if the trip does not take place you will be refunded 100%. If we do not buy a weekend lift pass for you, you will be refunded 95 Euro.

Emergency phone number: During the weekend you can reach the trip captain on +49 163 8472738. Save this number and take it with you!

The meeting point is the Giesing Bahnhof. The bus will depart at 06:45 so you need to be there for 06:30 to allow loading time. The name of the bus company is Geldhauser and it should be parked in the bus station.

Members have priority with bookings until two months before the trip; associates may sign up after this.

    Radstadt 2021

    Accommodation: Hotel Post - https://www.posthotel-radstadt.at/

Three nights in a wellness hotel with half board and a four-day ski pass:

    Hotel

The Hotel Post is a nicely renovated 3-star wellness hotel located in the centre of Radstadt hosting a range of sauna and steam rooms as well a fitness area and bar. We will travel down on Friday to arrive in time for a drink before dinner. For those who are interested, we will visit the local disco on Saturday at approx. 9:00 where the DJ accommodates us with dance music from the 70/80’s.

    Location

We will be skiing in the centre of the Ski amadé, Austria's largest ski area network covering 760 Pistenkilometer (275km blaue, 390km rote, und 95 km schwarze Pisten) and 278 modern ski lifts. The area includes the large World Cup ski resorts of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee and Flachau, the ski circuits of Wagrain as well as Radstadt-Altenmarkt, and many other interesting resorts. There are over 1000 snow canons which can create enough snow for 100 percent of slopes and therefore guarantee a winter regardless of the weather.

    Transport

This is a U-Drive, but also easily accessible by train. I will, however, try to organize carpooling for anyone looking for a lift.
