For questions, please comments our special events coordinator Susanne Schimmer at
+49 151 64740410. Bring this number also with you on the day of the event, so we can guide you, in case you can´t find us.

    Payment terms

    • Places are only considered reserved once payment has been received in full.
    • If you cannot attend for any reason we will do our best to find someone to take your place, and refund anything the club did not have to pay on your behalf minus a 15 Euro cancellation fee.
    • It may occur that the state of Bavaria reduces the originally permitted number of seats, for instance in the event of an increase in the number of infections in connection with the Corona pandemic. The state of Bavaria has already forced all tents to reduce their reservations, so the hope is that the non-reserved places will be mainly impacted. But if such a reduction impacts our ski-club seats, than the Munich international ski-club council will determine the allocation of the remaining seats by means of a transparent, non-discriminatory procedure, or to cancel reservations in individual cases or in their entirety.
Our purchase conditions say that the tents will restitute in part or full in such case, based on any final regulation. The Munich International Ski-Club will simply restitute what we don´t have to pay and will not be liable for made expenses (e.g. travel and accommodation costs).

Ischgl Season Opener - Long Trip

Hey everyone! It is time to get back on the slopes! We are planning a trip to Ischgl to open the 2022/ 2023 ski season. We have decided to limit the number of people to just 30 - so book early!!! . In addition, you can gladly let us know if you have any preferences regarding who you want to share a room with. The booking should go live around the end of August.

To display our gratitude to those that supported the club financially in a difficult last year by keeping their memberships active (and giving donations), we will be giving all Season 2021/22 members and donors priority to sign up exclusively until August 30th, 2021.

    We´re staying at:

    • Hotel Erika, downtown Ischgl Tirol, Austria
    • 01.12.2022 - 04.12.2022
    • Accomodation in a 4 * Ski-in/ Ski-out hotel in downtown Ischgl incl. Breakfast, use of the Wellness area (sauna, steam room, infra-red cabin), a 3-day Ski pass and bus transportation. If you want to limit your social contacts during the trip, the hotel also has its own small bar on site.

    LOCATION

As mentioned, we are heading to Ischgl which is known for its famous bars and restaurants and for its excellent ski runs.

    ACCOMODATION

For the first time, the ski club will be staying at Hotel Erika  - a great ski in/ ski out hotel right on the slopes in downtown Ischgl. The hotel is just 100 meters from some of the best restaurants and bars in Ischgl - right off the pedestrian zone - and only 250 meters to the main gondola. It has a lovely sauna/ wellness area as well as it´s own bar. This hotel is very difficult to book and we are very fortunate to have secured this booking.

Here a link to the hotel website:

    http://www.erika-ischgl.at

We will offer two price categories for the trip.

    Category 1: 2- person occupancy

    Category 2: 3- or 4- person occupancy

Please note that certain corona rules will apply to all hotels and to all guests staying at Austrian hotels. As far as we know today, 3G rules will apply, meaning you will need to be either vaccinated, tested or have recovered from Covid 19.

    PRICES

Prices can't be finalised yet but should start at around € 490 p.P. for active members and € 510 p.P. for associates (incl. 3 nights accommodation, breakfast, return bus transportation and a 3-day lift pass)

    QUESTIONS AND FURTHER INFORMATION

It is very easy to rent equipment in Ischgl, if you don´t have your own. There are multiple opportunities down in the village or up on the mountain both offering the newest gear.

In case the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues a travel warning, the trip will be cancelled and payments will be refunded in full (same as last year). If by September 26th, 2021 the minimum number of participants (22 participants) has not be reached,  MISC reserves the right to cancel the trip. In this case payments will also be refunded.

    • Hochfügen
    • 34

We're going again to Hochfügen, this time for 2 or 3 days skiing (your choice) including the weekend during the peak snow period. This is a fantastic resort for skiers and boarders of all levels, with modern gondolas taking you to the top of long red and blue runs, as well as some of the best in-resort off-piste skiing and boarding in Austria.

For maximum flexibility in your choice of ski days we're going by private car. Après-Ski each day will be at the Montana Alm - where we will also have dinner and spend the night. From the moment the first lift opens the following morning we can ski and board until stumps. Dinner, accommodation and breakfast is provided for two nights, Friday to Sunday - dinner on Friday is in the self-service area, but on Saturday it's a fixed menu in the Alm. A lift day-pass is provided for each of Saturday and Sunday - many people will also ski on Friday but lift pass is not provided.

Montana Alm is ski-in-ski-out and a short walk up the road from the bottom of the resort. You may have to carry your luggage up, so consider not packing too excessively. http://www.montana.at/

Price includes accommodation Friday and Saturday nights with dinner and breakfast (Friday dinner in the self-service area, Saturday fixed-menu in the Alm), lift day-passes for each of Saturday and Sunday, including the 4 Euro deposit. Sleeping arrangement is double-room or in an eight-person bunk room with towels and bedding provided, as well as free WLAN.

Transport is privately but we will help organize car sharing. To be fair to car owners we've agreed on a recommendation of 30 cents per km to be shared among all occupants including all costs (fuel, tolls, infringement tickets, all operating costs, etc).

Season-pass holders please book the trip as per normal and send me an email - you will be refunded 115 Euros.

Payment terms: Places are only considered reserved once payment has been received in full. Specify at the time of booking your preferences of with whom you want to share a room - eg with the name of your partner, or gender preference. You can't book for multiple people at once - each person has to become a Member or Associate and book separately (and separately agree for example to the hygiene rules). If the trip takes place but you cannot attend for any reason

we will do our best to find someone to take your place, and refund anything the club did not have to pay on your behalf minus a 30 Euro cancellation fee; beyond that you need to get your own travel insurance. Of course, if the trip cannot or does not take place you will be promptly refunded 100%.

Emergency phone number: During the weekend you can reach the trip captain on +49 163 8472738. Save this number and take it with you!

The meeting point is the Montana Alm on Friday evening, but of course many people will arrange to meet up to ski together on Friday morning via the WhatsApp group.
