The MISC will go a third time to Fodom*, the tiny little Heart of the Dolomites, we will be back next season, hoping there will be no more troubles like last season. Join us again for another unforgettable trip, with amazing opportunities to ski, reachable in front of the door. We go straight into the center. On the map you should look for Arabba at the south-eastern edge of the Sella Group.

    Skiing opportunities:

You have the famous Sella Ronda, the Marmolada with its incomparable view easy to reach, challenging rides on the north side of Porta Vescovo and a large variety of easier pistes in the area of Cherz, Pralongia and Col Alt. Historical interests can be satisfied on the Giro della Grande Guerra (and by me, as long as you wish). And this is only an excerpt.

All of them can be reached from the first lift 50 m from the Albergo, no car needed in the morning (or the evening ;-) )

And if you ask attendees from last 2 years: The tour I call the ferry-tale-tour is really special.

We will stay in Albergo Pordoi with a long family tradition in the center of Arabba. Franco Furgler and his charming staff will welcome you. By now 12 double rooms are reserved for the whole first week of February. If already sold out, sign for waitlist and I will try to organize accommodation for as many as possible.

Prices are 655€ half-board the whole week for members in double-rooms, and 705€ for non-members.

    Apres-Ski/Evening Party

Fodom is a calm place, and I love this. To be honest, there is only one small bar (Bar Peter) for Apres Ski. But this one is only 10 m opposite the Albergo Pordoi. And if you wish, also at night we will be able to rock this bar to hell and back. I’m sure Artur Filippin, the Landlord, will let us, as long as there is anyone able to stand upright.

    MISC meets Coro Fodom (again)

For the last evening I plan again a really special event: We will meet my friends from Coro Fodom (the local men´s choir) for a final dinner. They will sing for us, and you can believe me: You might find choirs singing better in technical aspects, you might find choirs that sing more challenging songs. But I have little hope you will find a choir transporting better something really special with the music, emotions, spirit, the way to live the music and fill the music with life. According to these aspects I have heard no better. The price for this event, including Dinner and the transport to the hut is included again. And as last time, also the dinner itself is special, much more than standard.

The trip is a U-drive event (by car), but we will organize car pools (please give information when registering). It´s a 4h-trip from munich. It´s not absolutely guaranteed that everybody can get a place in the car pools (I expect some solidarity from car owners), but train is also a good option. Railway to Bruneck and then Bus to Corvara is no problem, and for the last 10km there are solutions I will arrange.

    Some more about the location

Fodom is a little paradise, not only to me, many people fell in love with it (also the other times with the MISC). The first you will see is the amazing landscape, unbelievable beautiful. But you will find even more if you involve into people, culture and history. If you are able to open your heart, you will feel the certain spirit of this place. Everybody who wants to know more can get much information from me, as long as he wants.

And don´t hesitate to ask me for more questions, wish

es or Extrawurscht. I´ll be happy to make this an unforgettable event for as many of you as

possible, and to share this extraordinary place with you.

    Terms and conditions

The MISC standard Terms and Conditions can be found here: Terms and Conditions

    Event Specific Terms and conditions

Registrations will be open for „members only“ till the End of November, from then it will be opened for associates also.

The organisers are purely conciliating accommodation (including half board and the included evening "MISC meets Coro Fodom"), we therefore take no responsibility for any incidents or accidents or other detrimental events occurring before, while or after these activities. You travel, ski and party at your own risk, in a purely private sport activity. By registering you agree to these terms and conditions, including the club’s cancellation policy.

You also agree to the terms and conditions about pandemic rules valid at that point of time in Italy. Non binding actual information: At the moment in Italy the Green Pass is obligatory, comparable to german 3G rules. And at the moment there is not that much discussion about changes like in Germany about 3G+, 2G or 1G.

    Cancellation policy summary:

    - The deposits are non-refundable unless there is a way the the club has no expenses for this canceled space. A handling fee of 30 € will be applied in that case.

For cancellations all payments will be forfeited, unless the club will have no expenses for this, e.g. in these cases:

    • There is a replacement (you should help finding one)
    • We can cancel at the hotel also or we are not charged for some reason
    • ...

    * Ladinic name for Italian „Livinalongo de Col di Lana“, a nice valley between Arabba and Pieve (more information here).back

    COVID-19 policy

2G+ / Booster rules will be applied in accordance with German and Austrian regulations.  This means Booster vaccination or PCR - not older than 48h - will be mandatory to cross the Austrian border. Vaccination / PCR documentation together with identity card will be checked prior to departure, inadequate documentation will be considered as cancellation (25€). Any changes in German or Austrian regulations will be applied without prior notice.

Ski location may be changed without notice at the discretion of the trip captain (depending, for example, upon snow conditions).

Cancellation: Contact for cancellations or any changes to your registration. Once you have registered for a daytrip you've committed to going and the full payment is due immediately. If you cancel you still owe 20 deposit per attendee, and if you simply don't show up you owe the full amount and this can lead to being banned from future trips. We need to do this unfortunately because a number of people register for daytrips to reserve a place for themselves and then decide later if they really want to go, expecting that they can just cancel - apart from being unfair to other members, this causes a lot of work for daytrip captain and treasurer and reducing this workload means that it's more likely there will be someone willing to run daytrips next year.

To add additional guests please contact for any changes to your registration including adding extra guests. Please don't register a second time to try to add guests as this just creates a mess. Unfortunately our booking system does not allow members to make changes directly.

Members have priority with bookings until a date one week before the trip. Guests of members registered before this date may in rare cases lose their place if the trip becomes full. Associates may book from this date, and from this date registrations from guests and associates will not be cancelled in favor of members.

Risk/Insurance: Taking part in a ski club event is done at your own risk, just like taking part in an event with friends; these are club trips, not commercial trips. The club and its representatives does not take responsibility for the actions of its members and does not have insurance to cover injury, or damage to or loss of your property. In particular, if you go skiing/boarding on a club trip it is highly recommended that you make sure you are insured for mountain rescue; note that this is not covered by normal medical insurance in Germany, and in the unlikely event that you need one a helicopter ride can be very expensive.

Register also on Meet-Up to let people know you are coming and see who else is joining...

In case of problems please contact

    • Hochfügen
    • 2

We're going again to Hochfügen, this time for 2 or 3 days skiing (your choice) including the weekend during the peak snow period. This is a fantastic resort for skiers and boarders of all levels, with modern gondolas taking you to the top of long red and blue runs, as well as some of the best in-resort off-piste skiing and boarding in Austria.

Due to the special situation this year, to reduce contact between strangers we're not going by bus, instead by private car. If a daytrip runs on the weekend they will join us at the same resort. Après-Ski each day, to the extent that it is allowed, will be at the Montana Alm - where we will also have dinner and spend the night. From the moment the first lift opens the following morning we can ski and board until stumps. Dinner, accommodation and breakfast is provided for two nights, Friday to Sunday - dinner on Friday is in the self-service area, but on Saturday it's a fixed menu in the Alm. A lift day-pass is provided for each of Saturday and Sunday - many people will also ski on Friday but lift pass is not provided.

Montana Alm is ski-in-ski-out and a short walk up the road from the bottom of the resort. You may have to carry your luggage up, so consider not packing too excessively.

Price includes accommodation Friday and Saturday nights with dinner and breakfast (Friday dinner in the self-service area, Saturday fixed-menu in the Alm), lift day-passes for each of Saturday and Sunday, including the 4 Euro deposit. Sleeping arrangement is double-room or in an eight-person bunk room with towels and bedding provided, as well as free WLAN.

Transport is privately but we will help organize car sharing. To be fair to car owners we've agreed on a recommendation of 30 cents per km to be shared among all occupants including all costs (fuel, tolls, infringement tickets, all operating costs, etc).

Season-pass holders please book the trip as per normal and send me an email - you will be refunded 115 Euros.

Payment terms: Places are only considered reserved once payment has been received in full. Specify at the time of booking your preferences of with whom you want to share a room - eg with the name of your partner, or gender preference. You can't book for multiple people at once - each person has to become a Member or Associate and book separately (and separately agree for example to the hygiene rules). If the trip takes place but you cannot attend for any reason

we will do our best to find someone to take your place, and refund anything the club did not have to pay on your behalf minus a 30 Euro cancellation fee; beyond that you need to get your own travel insurance. Of course, if the trip cannot or does not take place you will be promptly refunded 100%.

Emergency phone number: During the weekend you can reach the trip captain on +49 163 8472738. Save this number and take it with you!

The meeting point is the Montana Alm on Friday evening, but of course many people will arrange to meet up to ski together on Friday morning via the WhatsApp group.
