Bavarian-American Friendship Day @ Frühlingsfest - 10th May 2026 (10 May 2026)

Munich International Ski Club celebrates Bavarian-American Friendship Day at Frühlingsfest on 10th May 2025!

Join us for one of Munich International Ski Club’s favourite annual traditions as we celebrate Bavarian-American Friendship Day at the Hippodrom tent during Munich’s Spring Festival at the Theresienwiese.

Hosted by the Family Krätz and the entire Hippodrom team, this special event brings together Bavarian, American, and international organisations for an evening of great food, live music, and festive atmosphere.

Event Details

Date: Sunday, 10 May 2026

Time: From 5:30 pm

Location: Hippodrom Tent, Frühlingsfest, Theresienwiese

Our friend Dave Dowdy has been organising this event for over 12 years, and it has become a much-loved tradition for the Club to attend each year.

Entertainment Highlight

This year’s American star guest is Jennifer Lynn, winner of The Voice of Germany 2024, who will perform live during the evening.

Food & Drinks

As a special treat, guests can order the famous Kobe beef hamburgers at a special price.

There is no admission fee and no minimum purchase requirement – you simply pay for what you consume in the tent.

Seating Information

Our reserved Munich International Ski Club tables will be located directly in front of the band, giving us an excellent spot to enjoy the performance and atmosphere.

Important Information

No wristbands are required this year for entry to the tent.

Our reservation is held until 7:00 pm only. Guests arriving later may lose their seats if tables are needed for other visitors.

Shortly before the event, attendees will be informed where exactly our tables are located.

Everyone is welcome – feel free to invite your friends!

And finally: if you have anything in Bavarian style in your wardrobe, you are warmly encouraged to wear it, but it is not required.

Fasching celebration with Munich International Ski Club

On Tuesday, 9th February, we will celebrate Fasching and party with our traditional partner Marco from Bodenseestandl, who will magically turn his stand into a great party bar with drinks at reduced prices for our Ski Club members and associates.

The place is easy to find search in Google for "LOUIS Hotel" or "Betty Barclay" at the Viktualienmarkt yet it will be the easiest if you join the Fasching Party WhatsApp Group where we'll share our location - from 12 pm on.

Make sure you bring enough cash! When you forget or run out, you can always use the cash-machine, which is right next to where we party.

Before you order, make sure that you tell them that you are with the Munich International Ski Club, so you get reduced prices.
