An area of the pub has been reserved for the ski club from 8pm onwards.
There’ll be a live band playing as well as the usual shenanigans for Halloween…

Isar BBQ Party - Saturday 30th July
The annual Isar BBQ Party is on Saturday the 30th of July. The council will be down at the JFK Bridge around 13:30 setting up but if anyone would like to help with picking up the tables, beer, etc. and setting up then we would be glad of the help.
If you've never been, we have the food coming off of the grill around 15:00 and it's all you can eat and drink. We'll being doing burgers, hotdogs, fajitas, wings but it is greatly appreciated when anyone contributes a side dish or desert. This is your chance to sign up to be a member for the 2011-12, reserve your tickets for Oktoberfest and get to know other wintersports fans.
Children are very welcome but they are your responsibility if you bring them.
We would prefer no dogs but if you bring one, then keep them ON A LEASH and away from the food and grill.
Remember - BRING YOUR OWN CUP!
When: Saturday, 30th July 2010, we'll be ready to start eating and drinking around 3 pm; games will start around 5 pm; clean-up to startaround 10 that evening.
Where: Under the John F. Kennedy Bridge, on the west bank of the Isar.
The closest bus-stop is Tucher Park. Closest U-Bahns Dietlindenstrasse (U6) and Muenchner Freiheit (U6/U3)
Includes: Food & drink until it runs out....
Price: 10 EUR members, 15 non-members (children of members up to 16 free, children of non-members 5 EUR).

Yes it's that time of year again! As usual we have 100 seats in our own box.
Costs 35 Euro for members, 40 for nonmembers and you get 2 Liters of beer, 1/2 a grilled chicken (although quite often they will use that toward another dish on the menu if you prefer) AND a coupon good for 5 Euro. Plus we provide Obatzn and Pretzels to snack on (no these are not gifts from the beer tent!). And don't forget, these tickets are all good for the duration of the Oktoberfest so if you don't use them Sunday, you can always go back for another visit.
Our reservation is from 12:00 at the Hacker Festzelt, Himmel der Bayern, Box 11 and goes until 17:45. Open seating, only people with an armband are entitled to a seat and the waitresses won't serve anymore beers after 17:30.
Traditionally those interested meet at Lenbachplatz at the Wittelsbacher Fountain around 10:00 with a bottle of Prosecco to watch the Trachtenzug. It gets there around 10:30. Donna will be there between 10:00 - 11:00 and pass out the tickets, along with the "get in free" cards that show you have a reservation. Otherwise you get your tickets in the box. If you are on time for the reservation, on Sundays there has never been a problem getting in without that card. Plus, we are required to have filled all the seats by 12:20 at the latest or the waitresses are allowed to give away the tables.

Ghost Tour & Halloween Party - Sat. 30th October
Munich Ghost Tour - walking tour through the old city
Follow your guide’s lantern through Munich’s winding dark alleys and haunted squares to experience the terrifying tales and legends found at every turn. Hear gruesome stories of murders, bloody executions, witch-burning, torture and unsolved mysteries that no other tour dare tell. It is a haunting experience guaranteed to raise your spirits!
And there’ll be plenty of other spirits along the way in the form of drinks to accompany the tour…
When: Starts at 19:30 and lasts approx. 2 hours (with some drink stops)
Where: Meet at Marienplatz underneath the Glockenspiel right in front of the New Gothic town Hall
Cost: 10€ - for the ghost tour (transfer to the club account with your name and Halloween in the xfer details.) If you just want to come to the party - it's free.

After the Ghost Tour, we will all go to the bar Cohibar City, Herzog-Rudolf-Straße 2 (near Maximilianstrasse), to party into Halloween itself…
If you don’t want to come on the ghost tour, just go straight to Cohibar City from 21:30 onwards… But don’t forget to dress up for the event!

Saturday 31st October Halloween open top night bus - since everyone had so much in previous years we're doing it again. We've reserved a double decker bus (same as the ones that do city tours) and weather permitting we open up the top as we cruise around Munich in our own style of a city tour. There's no guide but there are lots of drinks, fun and costumes. We depart from the bus stop in front of Union's Brau at Max-Weber-Platz at 19:30 and get dropped in Town at 22:00 or so to carry on the party. All this for EUR 18 (members) / EUR 22 (non-members). Email specialevents@munichskiclub.com to sign up.
Where: Starting at the bus stop at Max-Weber-Platz, then going on a 2 1/2 hour mystery tour around Munich seeing the main sites... then stopping centrally in town for more partying...

2009 Spring Banquet - Saturday 18th April
Make plans to join our end of season party - a good time is always had by all. It will be at the MichaeliGarten Restaurant - members and their guests are all invited. There will be dinner, dancing and awards so be sure to sign up soon. We're pleased to annouce that our friends at www.myitalianjob.com are offering a 2 night stay in a very lovely and characteristic B&B in the heart of the Sassi (a double room) as a prize to be drawn at the dinner - see photos here (pdf). In addition Marcheshire Gourmet Food have donated a package of their gourmet products and travel brochures.(see www.marcheshire.it for more details.)
